Histórias Infantis de Coragem: O Cavaleiro e o Dragão

In a distant kingdom, there was a knight named Rodrigo, known for his bravery and kindness. He was always ready to help those in need and protect the kingdom from any danger. But one day, a greater threat appeared: a great dragon had awakened from the mountains and was causing fear and destruction in the nearby villages.

The king, concerned for the safety of the kingdom, asked Rodrigo to face the dragon. Without hesitation, the young knight mounted his faithful horse and set off towards the mountains. Along the way, he met villagers fleeing from the dragon in terror. Rodrigo promised that he would do everything to protect everyone and brought hope to their hearts.

When he finally reached the dragon’s cave, Rodrigo was surprised. The dragon was not destroying out of malice, but because his home had been invaded by hunters who wanted to steal his treasures. Upon realizing this, Rodrigo understood that the courage of a true knight was not only in fighting, but in understanding what caused the conflict.

With his brave and just heart, Rodrigo approached the dragon. Instead of drawing his sword, he spoke to the creature, asking it to explain the reason for its fury. The dragon, impressed by Rodrigo’s courage in not attacking it, revealed that he only wanted his home to be left in peace.

Rodrigo then proposed a deal: he would speak to the king to ensure that no one else invaded the mountain, and in exchange, the dragon would stop attacking the villages. The dragon, relieved, accepted the offer and returned to his cave in peace.

Rodrigo returned to the kingdom as a true hero, not for having defeated the dragon, but for having shown that courage also comes from solving problems with wisdom and compassion. He taught everyone that sometimes the hardest path is the one that brings true peace.
